Plot:
A movielover's movie starring Bridges as a young man who moves to Hollywood in the '30s with hopes of becoming a writer of western pulp novels. Instead he finds himself in front of the camera in cowboy films. Loosely based on the unlikely cowboy stars such as Tom Mix who literally rode onto sets as cowpokes and rode off as stars.
